Robert Kirby is a general surgeon with a wide training in surgery. A substantial proportion of his work is involved with the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and benign breast disease.
He has a major interest in abdominal problems and deals with colorectal malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease (Including Crohns Disease), gallbladder problems and abdominal wall hernias.
He is a member of both the breast and colorectal multidisciplinary teams of the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
He is Academic Director of Surgery for Keele University and Hospital Dean for UHNS.
He is responsible for undergraduate teaching in breast cancer and general surgery for Keele University.
